Wood briquettes are a natural product. They are pressed from wood residues such as sawdust and wood shavings without binding agents into cylindrical or rectangular shapes (so-called RUF briquettes) and burn almost completely.

Wood briquettes are packed in 10 kg plastic film packages and can therefore be stored cleanly and in a space-saving manner. The ratio of wood briquettes to firewood is approximately 1:4. This means that one tonne of briquettes replaces approx. 4 cubic metres of dry firewood. Thus, the space requirement for the same energy value is only about a quarter compared to firewood.
